Most people associate Interior Design with large, stately homes or country piles, keeping abreast of current design trends and updating their soft furnishings each season.

Not so, however, with Decodence.

Having built up an excellent business model and exemplary record in Australia, Finnish born, Elina Helenius, relocated her business to the Scottish Borders, where purchase of The Old Mill in Eyemouth, was the motivation behind the cross-continent move.

Decodence isn’t the stereotypical interiors specialist, having qualified at the Sydney based ISCD, design institute, Elina undertakes a vast array of projects from complete renovations and spatial planning to 2D and 3D drafting and the more visual elements of colour, layout and homestaging, drawing on a vast international directory of unique suppliers and making hers a service, affordable to all.

It was this message that required broadcast to the waiting Berwickshire audience and as part of a larger PR strategy, Rubber Lips PR hosted a launch event for Decodence at their renovated home and place of business; The Old Grain Mill, Eyemouth.

Industry professionals and local businesses were invited to an evening of networking and examples of the type of work undertaken by Decodence, with an informative presentation by Elina and show round of her most recently completed project – also their home!

A perfect showcase of work and ideal venue for the event; a successful evening was enjoyed by many and fabulous feedback from a brand new market, ensured that Decodence made it’s mark on the local community.
